Become a G.R.O.W. intern!

     To apply please e-mail Thi (sounds like 'tea') Squire at with "G.R.O.W. Internship" in the subject line and  

     include in the body of the e-mail a few details of your background and a brief description of what you think you would like to experience and

     learn at the G.R.O.W. urban farm. G.R.O.W. is a unique way to fulfill community service hours that you may need to complete.

     Work Description:

     Skills needed for an internship include some physical labor and the ability to work well with other members of the G.R.O.W. team.
     Interns will receive hands-on training in assisting G.R.O.W. in all aspects of urban agriculture through organic systems. As this is an
     unpaid internship, i
nterns may work as many hours per week as their personal schedules allow. A valid drivers license, photo ID or
     passport is required.

     Duties will include:

     * Planting starts.
     * Irrigating crop beds.
     * Pulling weeds.
     * Integrated pest management.
     * Moving plants, pots, trays, soil, compost and other farm related materials.
     * Harvesting G.R.O.W. crop varieties. 
     * Teaching and working with visiting student groups.
