To apply please e-mail Thi (sounds like 'tea') Squire at email@example.com with "G.R.O.W. Internship" in the subject line and
include in the body of the e-mail a few details of your background and a brief description of what you think you would like to experience and
learn at the G.R.O.W. urban farm. G.R.O.W. is a unique way to fulfill community service hours that you may need to complete.
Skills needed for an internship include some physical labor and the ability to work well with other members of the G.R.O.W. team.
Interns will receive hands-on training in assisting G.R.O.W. in all aspects of urban agriculture through organic systems. As this is an
unpaid internship, interns may work as many hours per week as their personal schedules allow. A valid drivers license, photo ID or
passport is required.
Duties will include:
* Planting starts.
* Irrigating crop beds.
* Pulling weeds.
* Integrated pest management.
* Moving plants, pots, trays, soil, compost and other farm related materials.
* Harvesting G.R.O.W. crop varieties.
* Teaching and working with visiting student groups.
Come join us and have a great time in the sun and fresh air while learning about edible plants and urban agriculture!
