learn at the G.R.O.W. urban farm. G.R.O.W. is a unique way to fulfill community service hours that you may need to complete.
Work Description:
Skills needed for an internship include some physical labor and the ability to work well with other members of the G.R.O.W. team.
Interns will receive hands-on training in assisting G.R.O.W. in all aspects of urban agriculture through organic systems. As this is an
unpaid internship, interns may work as many hours per week as their personal schedules allow. A valid drivers license, photo ID or
passport is required.
Duties will include:
* Planting starts.
* Irrigating crop beds.
* Pulling weeds.
* Integrated pest management.
* Moving plants, pots, trays, soil, compost and other farm related materials.
* Harvesting G.R.O.W. crop varieties.
* Teaching and working with visiting student groups.
